Skip the takeout and make restaurant-quality, North-Indian-style butter chicken at home. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s rich, creamy, and deliciously filling—perfect for a busy weeknight.
Ingredients
- Chicken breasts (cubed) 1 lb
- Butter Chicken Seasoning Mix 1 packet
- Half and half 1 1/2 cups
- Tomato paste 2 oz
- Butter 6 tbsp
- Cornstarch 1/4 tsp
- Water 1 tbsp
Directions
1. Season Chicken
In a medium bowl, toss the cubed chicken with 1 tablespoon of the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
2. Cook Chicken
Air Fryer: Cook at 350°F for 12 minutes.
Oven: Bake on a sheet pan for 15 minutes. Ensure center reaches 165°F.
3. Prepare Sauce
In a saucepan, whisk half and half, water, remaining seasoning, tomato paste, and cornstarch. Add butter and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.
4. Combine & Simmer
Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and simmer for about 5 minutes until the flavors meld and the sauce reaches your desired thickness.
Serving Suggestion: Serve hot over white or brown basmati rice, or with warm garlic naan – or both for the full experience!
